Download Advertisement MP3 Ringtones

August 6th, 2009 72 comments

I have some strange hobbies to kill time in holidays. One of those is collecting various Advertisement MP3s and setting them as Ringtone on my mobile just to amuse people around me ;) Some of them, I could get from the official site of respective companies/products and some of them were very rare to find.

I hesitate to call these MP3s as ringtones as they are just normal MP3s; some of them may contain only prose and no tone !. It’s just that I use them as ringtones ;)

So here’s my small personal collection of Ad ringtones. All files have 128 kbps bitrate. You can play these on any device or mobile that supports MP3 playback :) Enjoy ……… Read more…

Autonomous Engineering Colleges In Karnataka

July 1st, 2009 36 comments

Here is a list of autonomous engineering colleges in Karnataka that have intake under CET. First things first, what’s an autonomous college or what is autonomy ?

Need for Autonomy :
The affiliating system of colleges was originally designed when their number in a university was small. The university could then effectively oversee the working of the colleges, act as an examining body and award degrees on their behalf. The system has now become unwieldy and it is becoming increasingly difficult for a university to attend to the varied needs of individual colleges. The colleges do not have the freedom to modernise their curricula or make them locally relevant. The regulations of the university and its common system, governing all colleges alike, irrespective of their characteristic strengths, weaknesses and locations, have affected the academic development of individual colleges. Colleges that have the potential for offering programmes of a higher standard do not have the freedom to offer them. Read more…

Mythbuster : Mentos and Aerated Soft Drinks Reaction

June 16th, 2009 5 comments

Don’t tell me that you haven’t seen the videos of the Mentos and Diet Coke which are all over YouTube since ages. If you haven’t, you surely have heard about it from your friend or read it somewhere. This reaction between Mentos and several aerated soft drinks like Coke or Pepsi which results in a spectacular eruption is popularly known as Mentos eruption or a coke geyser. Now, why is it so popular ? It is because of the nature of this physio-chemical reaction and the easy availability of the ingredients – just bump into your local shop and get them. One more reason is that this activity is very safe. The experiment was first aired on television back in 2002 and then in 2005. Since then, it’s all over the Internet. Read more…
